Unlike in many other countries, there is technically no such factor as a “sworn translator” in britain or the United States. A sworn translation in the provision is required by the UK of an affidavit, where linguists themselves must go to a solicitor and swear an oath that they are professionally certified and that the translation is usually honest and accurate.

Our standard qualification is recognised and accepted any place in the UK. A certificate of precision, signed by the translator, is usually attached to the documents. In the UK, records are legalised with a stamped official certificate called an ‘apostille’ by the Foreign and Commonwealth Business office’s Legalisation Office. The notarised translation is sent to the FCO, who will legalise it by confirming that the signature, stamp or seal is from a UK public official. You will need this if you would like your translation carried out in the UK to be recognised by way of a body in another country .
