OVERVIEW
This course is designed to enlighten the learner regarding the arrest of a fugitive as used in bail surety. A bail agent may encounter instances where his or her client will leave the jurisdiction. Knowing the rules and tools to employ when an agent encounters this will be helpful.
This course will help the bail agent become aware of certain conflicts that can arise in the business of bail. It is important that bail agents stay within the letter of the law in order to avoid dealings that can could be called into question at a later date.
EXPECTED COURSE RESULTS
The licensed bail agent will be able to identify key areas that may lead to troublesome transactions and learn how to minimize liability. This mini course cannot provide all of the problem areas. However, it will address some of the most serious considerations.
